Katelyn (Katie) Bosveld


All of Katie Bosveld’s clinical services are currently supervised by Cristina Magrina, M.A., C.Psych.Assoc.

Katie Bosveld is a clinical associate at Kindercare Psychology. She has a Masters of Social Work from Toronto Metropolitan University and is a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Katie has experience working with children and families in a variety of settings, including community mental health centres and women’s shelters. Most recently, Katie provided individual and group therapy services to children with high behavioural support needs and their families.

Katie works with children, adolescents and parents with diverse experiences and presenting concerns, including emotional regulation, behaviour management, and communication. She focuses on building caregiver capacity and supporting children in growing their toolboxes for resilience. Katie has specialized experience in supporting children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD), and externalizing behaviours, as well as individuals struggling with anxiety. Katie uses an integrative approach with roots in Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. She prioritizes family-based services and incorporates anti-oppressive practice into her work through an intersectional lens. Katie values warmth and humour in the therapeutic relationship and seeks to create a safe and supportive environment for families to grow.
